About the company

Pirelli & C.S.p.A. is an industrial Italian company dedicated to the manufacturing of tyres, headquartered in Milan, Italy and Chinese-owned. Since 2011 it has been the only supplier of tyres in the Formula 1®. In the 90s Pirelli tyres sales increased in Europe as they had never done before and a new system of robotic production MIRS was introduced, which would lead to the high-performance tyres as first model. In 2004 the Pirelli tyres were used by Subaru in the World Rally Championship.
